The AFL South East Commission has confirmed that Hampton Park FNC will participate in the football and netball divisions of the SEFNL in season 2017.
The resolution of the Commission followed a meeting of SEFNL Football and Netball Presidents with members of the AFL South East Commission on Wednesday 22 February.
Co-Presidents of Hampton Park Mick O’Brien and Tim Ziegler addressed the meeting on Hampton Park’s current registration and training numbers.
The meeting acknowledged the enthusiasm with which Mick and Tim were engaging with coaches and players and demonstrated a level of confidence of being able to field 2 teams in 2017. All Clubs supported Hampton Park’s intention to compete in both the senior and reserve divisions.
The Club will now be keen to hear from players who wish to support the Club represent Hampton Park in season 2017
AFL South East Chairman Roger Hampson also addressed the meeting on the Commission’s approval of a review process about to commence to determine the structure of the competition in 2018.
Clubs will receive the terms of reference for the review shortly, which is planned to be complete by July 2017
