NEWS: Geelong to be one of six regional Talent Identification Development Centres
FOOTBALL Federation Victoria (FFV) this week advised both the NPL and regional associations that FFV will be conducting six Talent Identification Development Centre (TIDC) regional programs in 2017 – one of which will be located in Geelong.
Two groups will come under the umbrella – the Skill Acquisition (Boys Under 11-12 years plus, as well as girls 11-13 years) and the Game Training (Boys 13-15 years and Girls 14-16 years).
Both groups will have combined squads ( Game Training – Skill Acquisition) of up to 22 players training 1 night a week in Geelong training and playing with own clubs during the season.
As further details come to hand, information regarding the upcoming trials and hosting venue will be passed on to all GRFC clubs through their official delegates.
It must be noted, that the TIDC program will not be just for NPL players, rather it will be for all players from the greater Geelong/Wimmera regional area.
The FFV has a dedicated email address for all TIDC enquires – please forward all enquires to the following email so that any questions can be answered: TIDC@ffv.org.au
