NOTICE: Golden Plains SC to host two MiniRoos (Grassroots) courses in March
GOLDEN Plains Soccer Club will be hosting two MiniRoos (Grassroots) coaching courses during the month of March, with one of those set to be a female-only course.
The progressive Bannockburn based club will run a female only version of the three hour course course on Saturday the 11th of March at the Bannockburn Recreation Precinct (132 Milton Street, Bannockburn) from 9:00am til midday.
The following week, on Saturday 18th of March at the same venue and at the same time, the Eagles will host an open MiniRoos course for all genders. This course is also open to participants from other clubs.
Intended for coaches wanting to train 5-9 year old players, the 3 hour course is fully practical and encourages the coach to develop practices that are based on fun.
The emphasis is on natural development i.e. learning by playing football. No coaching but organising fun football exercises is the key to helping players build a love for the game.
Another highlight of the course is that the coaches are exposed to basic rules of the game as well as tips and hints on building a football culture in a completely practical setting.
Although there is no cost to attend either of the courses, due to limited spots, it is imperative to register online before the day. To register for either of the courses, click on the relevant link below:
