The Darling Downs is set for a big 2017 with the return of favourite son and former DDAFLQ Development Coordinator Jeff Neumann.
Neumann has been appointed to the Regional Managers position vacated by Keith Webb and is the perfect candidate for the position with his vast knowledge of the regional landscape both on the Downs and most recently in Mackay.
Neumann has spent the last 2 years as the Mackay Regional Manager and in this time implemented new and exciting projects including the vast rise of women’s football in the region.
“It’s a very exciting opportunity to return to the garden city”, said Neumann.
“A lot has happened since I left the region in January 2015 and I am looking forward to coming back and capitalising on the superb work both Keith and Tasman have done and looking forward to taking our great game to the next level.
“An opportunity to be closer to family and in a region I absolutely adore, it was an easy decision to transfer.
“I have big shoes to fill, after 12 years of great service from ‘Webby’ the great man moves on to bigger and better things, he will be missed but not a stranger to the region in his new role. 2017 is shaping up as a massive year for the DD with the QAFL match, potential female Academies, restructured senior footy and the exciting new junior match program, Roy’s rookies.
Neumann officially begins his role on March 6, 2017.
