U16 Darling Downs representative training commenses

This is the official pathway for selection in the upcoming U16 State Championships where Darling Downs players will link into the South East team.

Former Darling Downs juniors Josh Smith and Wylie Buzza both came through this representative pathway with both AFL listed players looking for big 2017’s with Collingwood and Geelong respectively.

This year’s U16 representative match will be played in a new format and against a new opponent in Labrador AFC. The Tigers approached AFLDD late last year with the view to host x3 practice games early March 2017 as follows.

U14 DD Vs Labrador (boys)

U16 DD Vs Labrador (boys)

U15 DD Vs Labrador (girls)

This new format will allow for players to get a full game under their belt whilst being reviewed by SE talent scouts and Lions Academy coaching staff.
