Norwood Talent Manager Robbie Neill has been appointed as SANFL’s new Women’s High Performance Manager.
Robbie is well known to Eyre Peninsula football, having overseen the transition of the SANFL zone from Port Adelaide to Norwood, starting in 2015. We are grateful for his tireless efforts with Eyre Peninsula's up and coming talent and wish him well in the new role
In charge of the Redlegs’ junior Centre of Excellence since 2010, Neill will start in the newly-created role in January.
The 42-year-old, who previously worked for SANFL, will be responsible for developing and managing elite programs for talented females in South Australia.
Neill’s brief will also include talent identification to enhance South Australia’s performance in National competitions and the amount of SANFL players selected in the AFL Women’s Draft.
The former Redlegs’ forward will also work closely with SANFL clubs to develop their female talent programs and pathways in their metropolitan and regional zones.
”Robbie is highly respected at SANFL for the way he has managed the talent programs at the Norwood Football Club,” SANFL General Manager Football Adam Kelly said.
”We are delighted his experience and passion for the game will now contribute to the continued expansion and development of female talent pathways and programs in South Australia.”
