In other news up at Myers Reserve, Rangers will host the next pre-season soccer tournament - which was last year known as the Morris Finance Cup and originally went under the title of the Geelong Advertiser Cup - at their Myers Reserve headquarters in Bell Post Hill.
Rangers were appointed the competition hosts after Geelong SC requested that it forego its turn to host the series, the longest running in Victoria, due to the rebuild of its clubrooms.
Geelong's Stead Park clubrooms and pavilion will not be fully finished in time for the pre-season cup.
