NEWS: GRFC seeks Expressions of Interest for host of new Female's pre-season event
THE GEELONG Women’s Football Taskforce, acting on behalf of the Geelong Region Football Committee (GRFC) wishes to invite your club to express an interest in hosting the Geelong Girls Gala. “It’s Football It’s Fun it’s Fabulous Bring a Friend and get Free Stuff”!!!
The Geelong Girls Gala Tournament is an innovative new preseason event which is aimed at attracting both new and old female players to the rapidly growing sport in the Geelong region. The inaugural 2017 event will encourage clubs, schools and others to participant in a fun, fabulous and friendly competition.
Event: GRFC Club recruitment initiative/Female’s Pre Season Tournament
Dates:11th & 12th of February 2017
Team Entries: U12, 15s & Open woman’s.
Format: 7-a-side half pitch
GRFC Responsibilities
GRFC will provide the Goals
GRFC will provide Referees & Lines persons
Hosts Responsibilities
Confirmation from your local council or venue owner detailing the availability of your ground for the relevant date/s
Confirmation of 2 full size pitches
Confirmation of the number of change rooms available to teams and referees on the allocated dates.
Provide all match balls for the relevant age group (12s Size 4; 15s & seniors Size 5);
Prepare all required pitches this includes line marking, corner flags, goal nets, stretchers, first aid kit
Ensure an appropriate and current public liability insurance policy is in place in relation to the host venue on the required dates.
Provide clean, accessible and secure change rooms and toilets for all teams (players and officials) and match officials.
Provide basic canteen facilities for participating teams and spectators. All costs associated with stocking and running of the canteen shall be the responsibility of the Club. The Club may set all canteen prices and collect all canteen takings;
Provide a Club liaison to assist any FFV official prior to and on match day;
If your club would like to proceed with hosting the 2017 Geelong Girls Gala please confirm in writing, by email no later than 9:00AM Monday 7th November
