A new AFL television show for kids filmed right here in Queensland begins on Channel Ten tomorrow (Saturday) morning.
Kick 2 Kick is a new NAB AFL Auskick show that will screen at 6.45am every Saturday.
It is aimed at 5-12 year olds who play Auskick, which is where most of today's AFL stars have come from. This year more than 150,000 Australian kids will play Auskick.
Kids now have something to watch as they lace up their footy boots each Saturday morning before playing Auskick.
The show will be hosted by Totally Wild presenter, Wes Denning, from a different junior club each week. About 20 Auskick players will be in attendance to help build the enthusiasm, illustrate footy drills and help create the atmosphere and excitement that is junior footy.
Wes and his band of Auskickers will throw to various segments.
They include `MY BIG GAME' where the cameras follow one excited young player capturing their big game experience from the moment they run up the race; `ASK VOSSY', where Ten personality and Brownlow Medallist Michael Voss will host a segment explaining the terminology young viewers might hear in a typical Ten telecast; and `NAB RISING STAR', where each week's nominee from the AFL will be showcased.
The will also be a segment explaining the rules, and a `Play of the Week', where viewers will be encouraged to send in home video of themselves playing Auskick.
