NEWS: North Geelong teen Elizabeth Sarcevic selected for Vic Women's squad at Futsal Nationals
TALENTED local Futsal star Elizabeth Sarcevic has been selected to represent Victoria at the 2017 FFA National Futsal Championships in Sydney.
The up and coming teenager, who also played outdoor football with North Geelong Warriors in the GRFC Women’s Division Two competition in 2016, will be part of the squad which will commence training in Dandenong South on Sunday in preparation for the championships which will commence on the 4th of January.
Sarcevic, who has represented Victoria a total of sixth times at the National Championships, has been selected in the Open Women’s team as a goalkeeper.
Sarcevic comes from a strong football pedigree, with her father Ante having played and coached at senior level with North Geelong Warriors while her uncle Frank remains heavily involved with the local referees branch after a long playing career himself.
The 2017 FFA National Futsal Championships will be the 36th National Championships and will take place at several venues across Sydney, running through until the 8th of January.
