Benalla and Rochester will lock horns for the right to move into next weekend’s big dance.
The reigning premier needs to forget about what it failed to do last week and concentrate on the job at hand.
Coach Luke Morgan will take some solace from the fact his team has had some really good wins against Rochester in finals in the past 12 months.
On the other hand, James Flaherty will be hoping his team can recover well enough to put up a good account of itself against Benalla.
Both teams are expected to get back some key players that missed the semi-final weekend last week.
The two meetings between the teams have been halved, with Rochester winning at Benalla and then the
Saints getting the points in epic battle at Rochester in the second half of the season.
Benalla is blessed with plenty of midfield talent, with the Martiniello brothers, the Martyn brothers, Morgan and ruckman Josh Marchbank.
Down forward the Saints have Nick Warnock and Farran Priest who can cause plenty of headaches for opposition defenders.
For Rochester, Steven Stroobants is the X-factor.
Since joining the Tigers he has been outstanding.
But it is the lesser-a-likes that have really stood tall for the Tigers and expect that the inclusion of Elliot Bowen to strengthen the team’s forward half while Nick O’Connor is another expected to return and have an impact.
It will be the team that can capitalise when in control of the game that advances to take on Kyabram.
