Wenselowski claims the Apted Medal (Division Five Best and Fairest)
Nor-West Jets player Casey Wenselowski has claimed the Apted Medal as he topped off a successful season in front of a packed room at Doltone House on Monday night.
Casey, who turns 35 years old next week swept the Division Five vote finishing the year with 24 votes, 10 votes ahead of Pennant Hill’s pair Carter Mullins and Nicholas Baglin. Wenselowski played 14 games in Division 5 this year where he polled an impressive 10 times, including 5 best on ground performances where he picked up the three votes. He started the year strongly where he secured 11 votes of a possible 12 in the first four rounds of the season. 2016 was his first year back at the club after spending the last 4 years playing for the University Hawks in AFL Townsville.
Mullins and Baglin finished in second place on 14 votes while Cillian Stritch and Jake Reid from the UNSW/ES, and Ben Plug from the Balmain Tigers finished equal 4th on 12 votes.
