Match details for the opening weekend of the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues Finals Series, which will feature Queensland’s own Brisbane Strikers, have been confirmed.

Football Federation Australia confirmed venue and kick-off times after the match-ups were determined by a random draw in July.

Strikers, the PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland 2016 Premiers, will face Capital Football side Canberra Olympic in their Elimination Final at Perry Park on Saturday, September 17.

The match marks the first time Strikers have reached the national stage of the national second tier competition.

The winner of the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues Finals Series will receive automatic entry into the Westfield FFA Cup 2017 Round of 32.

Every match in the PlayStation 4 NPL 2016 Finals Series will be streamed LIVE on www.nationalpremierleagues.com.au

The winner of the Strikers-Olympic clash will advance to face the winner of the Elimination Final between Sydney United 58 and Adelaide City in the Semi-Final stage – meaning Strikers could renew rivalries with one of their former National Soccer League foes.

The other Elimination Finals feature Victoria’s Bentleigh Greens and Northern New South Wale’s Edgeworth FC, while Western Australia’s Perth SC will take on Tasmania’s Devonport Strikers.

Hosts for the Semi-Final and Final of the elimination Finals Series are determined on a points system based on results in the previous rounds.
