Kyabram is chasing a 20th straight victory when it takes on last year’s premier for a spot in the 2016 decider.
In this corresponding fixture last year, Kyabram defeated Benalla to be the first team in the grand final despite the Saints being the favourite.
Today is the opposite, with Kyabram the favourite, having not lost a match this year.
The Bombers are likely to make one or two changes, with coach, Paul Newman declaring himself right to come back into the line-up after missing the past 21 days of football.
He has been moving freely in the past 7-10 days and he will take one of Benalla’s best defenders.
Benalla got the job done against a disappointing Shepparton Swans in the elimination final.
Luke Morgan is no fool and knows today’s opposition will be much harder to combat.
This promises to be a cracking game of football, with the Saints having a really good midfield and stable backline to take it to Kyabram.
Where the Saints really need to excel is down forward as they have only kicked a combined total of 12 goals in their two meetings against the Bombers, while the minor premier has kicked the 29 goals from the match-ups.
