The southern Football League is delighted to announce the appointment of Scott Van Noordennen to the position of Southern Football League Umpiring Director for season 2008.
Scott replaces Steve Edwards who decided not to apply for the expanded role for 2008.
After an extensive playing history and then umpiring stints in the Ovens and Murray Football League and Eastern Football League Scott has spent the past 5 years at the Southern Umpires on the Mornington Peninsula. Scott comes highly recommended by AFL Victoria's Neville Nash
The Southern Football League were able to persuade Scott to join our league beating 2 other major leagues to his services.
Scott is very keen to make himself known to clubs and will be responsible for ensuring that the relationship between the umpires and clubs is a healthy one. Scott will also be responsible for building a strong relationship with local junior competitions' umpiring groups to ensure the steady flow of youth into umpiring ranks.
We wish Scott all the very best in his quest to provide our competition with an umpiring body that we are all proud of.
