Other key stats from Round 21:
4: Footscray’s Mitch Hannan has been a frequent flyer in 2016, taking some of the most spectacular marks of the VFL season. The 189cm 22-year-old was at it again as the Bulldogs sealed a top-four spot with victory over Collingwood in Round 21, hauling in four contested marks from his 10 grabs for the game and booting two goals. Given his team is ranked last in the competition for contested marks, Hannan’s aerial prowess will be crucial in September.
55: North Ballarat’s three-pronged ruck division of Orren Stephenson, Rowan Marshall and Matt Eagles has proven rather unique in the VFL this year. The trio teamed up to trump Michael Sikora in the Roosters’ defeat of the Dolphins in Round 21, and is the only big-man battery other than Sandringham’s (with Billy Longer, Lewis Pierce and Jason Holmes) with three ruckmen to record over 150 hitouts in 2016.
