The first thing Echuca coach Andrew Briggs needs to do before today’s first bounce is be positive and speak to his players about believing.
The Murray Bombers can’t focus too much on the outcome, but more the process and how they want to play.
One advantage they will have is they will know what they will need to do with the game to be the last to start for the round.
Another positive is the fact they have played a few games under lights this year.
On the flip side, Kyabram coach Paul Newman will welcome the challenge – another for his boys ahead of the finals.
Benalla pushed the Bombers for at least the first half, but couldn’t sustain the pressure and effort.
Newman will be on the lookout for the intent of his players and how they react from the pressure that will come from Echuca.
It is important that Echuca plays the game right out as it could still slip out of the top six even if the results went in its favour, but they do have some breathing space in terms of percentage on both the Swans and Euroa.
