Women's Round 16 Rising Star Charly Iron (Sydney University Bombers)

AFL Sydney is pleased to announce the Round 16 Women's Rising Star is Charly Iron from the Sydney University Bombers.

Charley played her junior football for Queenwood in the Sydney Youth Girls League. She was won 2 Regional Premierships (Swans Cup) for Queenwood, as well as 2 NSW State School Girl (Giants Cup) Premierships.

Charly joined the Sydney Uni Bombers at the backend of the pre-season of 2016, and has been a dynamic member of the team.

Playing in the half forward line this season Charley challenged the opposition with her speed, deception and ability to win the ball out of the contest. Charly has been tirelessly making efforts to shepherd and is not afraid to put her head over the ball.
