NEWS: Absolute LAST CALL for public proposals for Strategic Plan ahead of 15th August deadline
MEMBERS of Geelong’s wider football family have until the end of TODAY (Monday) to submit any ideas, suggestions or proposals to add to the Geelong Region Football Draft Strategic Plan, which will ultimately be a blueprint for the growth of the sport over the next five years.
Seven different pillars have been identified as the key components of the Draft Strategic Plan. They include: Coach and Player Development, Participation and Competition, Leadership and Governance, Membership, Finance & Administration, Key Stakeholders, relationships & Strategic Alliances, Major Events & Sponsorship and Facilities.
GRFC Chairperson Jo Plummer is urging all local players, coaches, officials and supporters of the World Game to ‘have their say’ and be a part of the strategic planning for the sport.
“If you have a constructive opinion, now is the time to express it. We want your ideas and thoughts are considered so this plan can truly reflect a collaborative effort,” said Plummer.
The submissions can be as short as 50-60 words or as long as several hundred. They can be focussed only one particular aspect of the Draft plan or they can involve several of the pillars.
Whatever the contribution, interested persons are asked to email through their submissions before Monday 15th August to the FFV’s Geelong Regional Administrator Tonci Prusac at tprusac@ffv.org.au.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
