What Next For The Premiers?

Crowned PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland 2016 Premiers overnight, Brisbane Strikers will now contest the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues Finals Series for the first time.
Strikers become the fourth Queensland club in as many seasons to qualify for the end-of-season national elimination series that will ultimately determine the competition’s national champion.
All but two Member Federation representatives have been determined for the four Elimination Finals that commence the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues Finals Series.
Strikers are one of three former National Soccer League clubs to advance – joining PlayStation 4 NPL NSW Premiers Sydney United 58 and PlayStation 4 NPL South Australia Premiers Adelaide City.
Also qualifying are PlayStation 4 NPL Northern New South Wales Premiers Edgeworth FC, who eliminated FNQ Heat from this year’s Westfield FFA Cup, and PlayStation 4 NPL Tasmania Premiers Devonport City.
The final two spots are allocated to the Premiers of PlayStation 4 NPL Capital Football and PlayStation 4 NPL Western Australia, with both titles yet to be secured in those competitions.
As determined by last month’s fixture draw, Strikers will host the Premiers from PlayStation 4 NPL Capital Football in their opening match of the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues Finals Series.
Should they win, Strikers will then advance to face the winner of the Sydney United 58 and Adelaide City clash in the Semi-Final – the host determined by a points system.
Prior to the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues Finals Series, Strikers will also contest the PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland Finals Series in a fortnight's time, alongside Queensland's next three highest finishing club.
Season long Premiership rivals FNQ Heat are guaranteed a top four finish, while Gold Coast City, Brisbane City, Redlands United and Olympic FC currently remain in contention for the final two places.
The PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland Finals Series will culminate in the PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland 2016 Grand Final on September 3.
