The Pioneer Power JAFC have recently received a club assistance voucher, after their fantastic efforts with their NAB AFL Auskick program.
With thirty-five participants each week having a kick at Pioneer Power JAFC’s home base of Marian State School Oval every Thursday afternoon, club NAB AFL Auskick is a key transition from school to club participant.
In February 2016, AFL Queensland launched their club assistance fund, to assist community clubs who ran a NAB AFL Auskick program at their club with an opportunity to receive a voucher to better resource the club program's.
To receive the vouchers, each club needs to reach a certain key criteria benchmark based around participation, transition and female participation.
AFL Queensland Regional Manager in Mackay, Jeff Neumann was extremely excited to pass on the voucher to Pioneer Power JAFC.
“The Pioneer Power have run a fantastic NAB AFL Auskick program this year. The Bone family have been a real driving force behind the NAB AFL Auskick Program, and now with this voucher it will help assist in running a higher quality program for the NAB AFL Auskickers” Regional Manager Neumann said.
"The vouchers can be used to better resource the clubs program with new equipment, to give everyone a bigger and better experience, each and every time.
"We (AFL Queensland) have quite a few more presentations to make to other AFL Mackay Junior clubs," Neumann added.
NAB AFL Auskick is a key introductory participation program, run right across the Mackay region. To find your nearest centre, go to www.aflauskick.com.au.
