The Shepparton Swans are in real danger of slipping out of the top six if it can’t turnaround its fortunes at Tatura today.
The Bulldogs will no doubt fancy their chances of victory having shared the points with reigning premier Benalla and then backed it up with a gusty win over at Echuca last week.
Clearly the Swans are good enough when they play their best football, but unfortunately they have been off their game in recent weeks, including at home when teams below them have knocked them off.
This is a huge game for the Swans as one more win for them may be enough to sneak them into the finals this season.
Tatura can mathematically still play finals if it won all of its remaining three matches and results fell in its favour.
The Swans will look to the likes of Mitch Bell, BJ Squire and Tommy Preece to keep their good form going while the Bulldogs will hope the likes of James Wall, Brad Ryan and ruckman Daniel Flynn to lead by example.
