APART from maintaining its own top two hopes, Tarrawingee also holds the key to sixth-place on the ladder heading into the last two rounds of the home and away season.
King Valley and Moyhu both kept their finals chances alive with victory on Saturday, and both teams meet Tarrawingee in the next fortnight.
The Roos are favourites to finish sixth – possibly as high as fifth – after notching up their ninth win of the season, defeating Benalla All Blacks by 33 points at Whitfield.
The Panthers started out strong, with Andrew Trende, Ben Cook, Riley Moran and Michael Donehue firing, and led by two points at the first change.
But over the next two quarters King Valley took control of the contest, adding eight goals to three to establish a 32-point buffer ahead of the final stanza.
