Wins today to Williamstown and Werribee have helped keep the race for top 4 and the top 8 spots alive after Round 17 of the Peter Jackson VFL.
Werribee's returned to the winners list in recent weeks, now within one game of Essendon on the ladder with four rounds remaining. A 63-point win over the Northern Blues added a much needed 7% to the Tigers poor percentage (89% now), but they still trail Essendon by a game and 15%.
Williamstown has booked a double chance, now a game clear on top of the ladder, but have dented Sandringham's chances with the Zebras dropping a game behind Port Melbourne who have jumped into the top four. It set up a thrilling finale to the VFL season with the top 8 positions not yet settled.
