Olympic Dazzle Power…Again

Olympic FC Women struck three goals in each half in a dominate 6-0 win over Peninsula Power Women at Goodwin Park.
Runaway Golden Boot leader Kirsten Jamieson lead the scorers with a hat-trick with Allira Toby and Rebekah Horsey adding to a Power own goal to cap the result.
The result marks a welcome return to winning ways for the fourth-placed Olympic after back-to-back defeats in recent weeks.
Olympic remain fourth on the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues Women's table and still within striking distance of a top two finish and a guaranteed home final.
Power’s fourth loss on the trot – and second to Olympic this season – leaves them mired in tenth on the table, however offers a marked improvement from their 14 goal defeat in the reverse fixture earlier this year.

What They Said
“We were able to create a lot of opportunities but we weren’t as efficient in the final third as we were when we played them the first time. Some credit has to go to their goalkeeper though, she made some quality saves.” – Elizabeth Doherty, Olympic FC Women midfielder
“I’m really happy with the way the girls played to be honest. In the first round it was 16 (goals in total), and I’ll take a 10-goal turn around anytime. Consistency is difficult because they are still so young, but what they have learnt now is to be disciplined for the 90 minutes.” - Michael Cook, Peninsula Power FC Women coach
