It was W day in the Peter Jackson VFL, with Werribee and Williamstown both recording victories.
Werribee broke a seven game losing streak dating back to Round 6, with an 11-point win over North Ballarat, while Williamstown ended the five game winning streak of Port Melbourne, to help consolidate top spot for the Seagulls.

Telling facts: A five goal unanswered start to the game and a four-goal unanswered third term set up the win for Williamstown, who go a game clear on top of the ladder. Ben Jolley was again at his best in the middle as Port Melbourne could get no closer than 16-points after a slow start to the game.

Telling facts: Werribee led from start till finish against North Ballarat but were never able to draw any further than four goals ahead all game. The Roosters twice closed to within a point in the second and third terms, but were unable to kick any more than two goals in a row all game.
