Keilty the Wynstan Player of the Month

Congratulations to Casey Scorpion Declan Keilty who has been voted the Peter Jackson VFL Wynstan Player of the Month for June.

Thanks to Wynstan – celebrating 48 years of transforming windows and doors in Australia – VFL fans had the chance to cast their vote for the VFL Wynstan Player of the Month on the VFL Facebook site.

The most creative answer among the votes for Keilty was provided by Shay Duldig – ‘Tough, focussed and never gives up... That's Declan Keilty’ – who has won 1 x football signed by members of the 2016 Sydney Swans Football Club valued at $500.

Keilty has been a regular in defence for the Scorpions this year playing 11 of a possible 12 matches, after just two senior games in 2015. The 21-year-old former Gippsland Power TAC Cup player averaged 12 disposals a game during June playing a key lock down role, helping Casey to the best defensive record in the competition.

Five players were selected for their performances from Rounds 9 -12 Damian Mascitti (Port Melbourne), Jordan Kelly (Collingwood), Ryan Clarke (Werribee), Michael Gibbons (Williamstown) and Keilty – with Keilty receiving the most facebook votes with 178.
