Football Federation Australia have confirmed the LIVE draw for the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues 2016 Finals Series will be conducted on Tuesday.
The PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues Finals Series pits representatives from eight Member Federations in a series of seven elimination matches to determine the competition’s Champion club.
2016 marks the fourth edition of the national knock-out competition and consists of four Elimination Finals, two Semi-Finals before culminating in the Grand Final.
The LIVE draw will be streamed via the official Hyundai A-League Facebook page (fb.com/aleague) at 4PM AEST Tuesday (July 19, 2016).
It will be presented by Mal Impiombato (General Manager – PlayStation 4 NPL & Westfield FFA Cup) and Michael Ephraim (Managing Director, Sony Computer Entertainment Australia).
Queensland will be represented in the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues Finals Series by the eligible team that finishes highest on the PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland table.
Eleven PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland clubs are eligible for the end of season showpiece, with the only exception being Brisbane Roar FC Youth.
2016 will be the first year the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues Finals Series matches are determined by a random draw at Elimination Finals stage, which was previous scheduled on a geographic basis.
As per last year, hosting rights for the Semi Finals and Grand Final is determined by a points system based on their performances in the previous rounds.
Queensland has been previously represented by Olympic FC (2013), Gold Coast City (2014 – as Palm Beach SC) and Moreton Bay United (2015).
No PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland club has yet taken the title of PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues Champions in the three previous instalments.

PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues 2016 Finals Series Draw
Format
The PlayStation 4 NPL 2016 Finals Series will take place over a three week period consisting of four Elimination Finals and two Semi Finals before culminating in the Grand Final.
Elimination Finals (17-18 September, 2016)
Each Member Federation shall be allocated a ball number as stipulated below:
- Capital Football
- Football Federation South Australia
- Football Federation Tasmania
- Football Federation Victoria
- Football NSW
- Football Queensland
- Football West
- Northern NSW Football
Balls will be drawn one at a time in the following sequence to determine Elimination Final matches:
- first drawn club = Club A
- second drawn club = Club B
- third drawn club = Club C
- fourth drawn club = Club D
- fifth drawn club = Club E
- sixth drawn club = Club F
- seventh drawn club = Club G
- eighth drawn club = Club H
Semi Finals (24-25 September, 2016)
Grand Final (1-3 October, 2016)
Points System To Determine Hosts (Semi-Finals & Grand Final)
In order to determine the host Member Federation clubs for the Semi Finals and Grand Final, the following points system will apply at the conclusion of the Elimination Finals and the Semi Finals:
- Win within regulation time = 3 points
- Win during extra time = 2 points
- Win on penalty shootout = 1 point
- Goals scored (excluding penalty shootouts) = 3 points
- Goals conceded (excluding penalty shootouts) = -1 point
- Yellow cards = -1 point
- Red cards = -3 points
The host of the Grand Final will be determined by the club with the highest accumulation of points across the Elimination Finals and Semi Finals.

- 2013 – Sydney United 58 FC (Football NSW)
- 2014 – Metrostars SC (Football Federation South Australia)
- 2015 – Blacktown City FC (Football NSW)
