NOTICE: Reminder about re-scheduling fixtures for July 31 - Atletico v Victory clash in Geelong
FOOTBALL Federation Victoria's Competitions Department wishes to remind all GRFC clubs of the options offered to clubs regarding fixtures being played on Sunday 31 July - the day of the big Atletico Madrid v Melbourne Victory game at Simonds Stadium - as a follow-up to the "2016 Geelong Competitions Update - Round 11" memo.
As outlined in this memo, the two options available to any clubs with fixtures on this date are as follows:
OPTION A Clubs can request a postponement of any fixtures to the next available Catch-up Round in the respective competition. You will not require opposition consent in this instance.
OPTION B Clubs can request to change the kick-off time, or instead play on Friday 29 July, Saturday 30 July, Monday 1 August or a midweek date. This will require written opposition consent. If you select this option but do not have consent FFV will then make contact with the opposition to ensure that any changes are made with 14 days notice prior to the fixture.
As of 5:00pm on Monday, a number of clubs have already requested either of the two options. Clubs will have up until this Friday 15 July 12pm to provide any additional requests for FFV to consider either Option A or Option B, for any fixtures listed in Appendix 1 of this memo.
This must be provided in writing to competitions@ffv.org.au.
Any additional requests sent after the above deadline will not be considered and such fixtures will remain on Sunday 31 July.
All affected fixtures are listed in Appendix 1 & Appendix 2 of this memo (see attached).
