Gold Coast City Women have ended their five match losing run by seeing off bottom-placed Redlands United Women 3-0 at Duncan McKenna Field.
The hosts struck all three goals in a dominant first-half display with a brace from Stephanie Foreman book-ending Neesa Doyle’s strike.
The visitors proved more stoic in the second half, however were ultimately unable to make a dent as City notched just their second clean sheet of the campaign.
The win is City’s first since May and while strengthening their hold on sixth place in the standings are still 12 points shy of securing back-to-back finals appearances.
Meanwhile, Redlands remain rooted to the foot of the table and still in search of their first competition points in their debut PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues Women’s season.
