The St Kilda Sharks Women’s Football Club will host its inaugural R U OK DAY this Sunday, July 10, at the Peanut Farm Reserve, St Kilda.
'R U OK day at the Farm' is a new initiative for the club this season. Women’s football is a growing force and the Sharks will use their profile and our great game to promote the amazing cause that is R U OK Day.
Like the rest of society, players and families are not immune to mental illness and the Sharks family has been affected by some of its consequences.
The club has launched a 'Go Fund Me' page to raise money for special uniforms with the gold colouring of the R U OK organisation to be worn on the day as a mark of respect for lost family members. https://www.gofundme.com/b3ytvsm4
All additional money raised on the page and on the day will be given to the R U OK fundraising campaign to further promote this great cause.
Make sure you ask your friends, your family and even those you don't know... R U OK? A conversation could change a life!
