Redlands United’s Westfield FFA Cup Round of 32 debut against Hyundai A-League champions Adelaide United will be one of four matches broadcast LIVE by Fox Sports.
Football Federation Australia revealed the match details for all fixtures on Tuesday with Redlands to host Guillermo Amor’s side at Perry Park on Wednesday, 3 August.
As well as broadcasting one match live and exclusive in full on each match day, Fox Sports will also LIVE stream and provide updates and crosses of all other matches including fellow PlayStation® 4 National Premier Leagues sides FNQ FC Heat and Brisbane Strikers.
Both teams are in action on opening night as Heat welcome Northern NSW outfit Edgeworth Eagles to Barlow Park in Cairns on Wednesday, 27 July in what will be their first home match in three years of the competition.
Strikers are bidding to reach the Round of 16 for the second time but must contend with a Northern Territory road trip to meet Darwin Rovers FC.
All three matches are scheduled to kick-off at 7:30PM AEST.
Fellow Queensland clubs Surfers Paradise Apollo and Brisbane Roar will have to wait for the latter two matchdays for their involvement.
Gold Coast-based Apollo, who compete in the third-tier BLK Premier League competition, visit Canberra Olympic in their first Round of 32 appearance on 3 August before Roar host Perth Glory at Brisbane’s Ballymore Stadium the following week.
Ticketing information for each of the Westfield FFA Cup 2016 Round of 32 matches will be released soon by each home club. Visit www.theffacup.com.au for further details.
