There was plenty of drama across the Sunshine State in an action-packed Roundn 16 of PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues.
Fire Stun Young Roar

A three goal first half blitz set the platform as Sunshine Coast FC upset the in-form Brisbane Roar Youth 4-0 at Cleveland Showgrounds.
Fire’s second straight win sees them become the first side to defeat Young Roar on their home turf this season and lifts the club to eighth on the table.
For Young Roar, the result marks the end of a four match winning streak and the second time they have been kept scoreless by Fire this year.
Strikers Fightback Rolls Thunder

A four goal second half rampage has helped guide Brisbane Strikers to a come-from-behind 5-1 win over SWQ Thunder at Clive Berghofer Stadium.
The win extends Strikers undefeated run to six matches and maintains the pressure on league leaders FNQ Heat.
For Thunder, the result marks a fourth straight defeat and continues their record of never having defeated Strikers in six attempts.
GCC Shut Out Jets

A lone strike from skipper Justyn McKay has fortified Gold Coast City’s finals push after his side edged Moreton Bay United 1-0 at Wolter Park.
The result marks a second straight clean sheet for City in addition to a second consecutive win - lifting the club into third place in the standings ahead of Redlands United, who close out the round on Sunday.
For Jets the result sees them remain in seventh on the table but increases the distance to the top four to four points.
City Bounce Back Against Pride

Brisbane City’s finals hopes are back on track after notching a solid 3-1 win over Western Pride at Corporate Travel Management Stadium.
The win halts a two match losing run for City and moves the club back to fifth on the table.
For Pride, the result marks a sixth match without a win and extends their record of never taking a point against City in the capital.
Heat Run Riot Over Fury

A Christopher O’Hare hat-trick has helped FNQ Heat to a 5-0 demolition over regional rivals Northern Fury at Townsville Sports Reserve.
The result sees Heat maintain a three point lead atop the league and sees Heat complete a hat-trick of derby wins over Fury this season - the league double adding to their triumph in the Westfield FFA Cup Preliminary Rounds.
For the bottom-placed Fury, the result halts a recent run of two draws and means they remain without a league win after 16 matches this year.

A dramatic last minute winner from James Cuminao has bolstered Olympic FC’s finals hopes in a come-from-behind 3-2 win over Redlands United at Goodwin Park.
The win moves Olympic to within five points of the top four in eighth place amidst a log jam of finals contenders in the middle of the table.
Despite the defeat, Redlands hold on to fourth place on the table on goal difference.
