Fire’s second straight win sees them become the first side to defeat Young Roar on their home turf this season and lifts the club to eighth on the table.

For Young Roar, the result marks the end of a four match winning streak and the second time they have been kept scoreless by Fire this year.

A four goal second half rampage has helped guide Brisbane Strikers to a come-from-behind 5-1 win over SWQ Thunder at Clive Berghofer Stadium.

The win extends Strikers undefeated run to six matches and maintains the pressure on league leaders FNQ Heat.

For Thunder, the result marks a fourth straight defeat and continues their record of never having defeated Strikers in six attempts.

A lone strike from skipper Justyn McKay has fortified Gold Coast City’s finals push after his side edged Moreton Bay United 1-0 at Wolter Park.

The result marks a second straight clean sheet for City in addition to a second consecutive win - lifting the club into third place in the standings ahead of Redlands United, who close out the round on Sunday.

For Jets the result sees them remain in seventh on the table but increases the distance to the top four to four points.

The win halts a two match losing run for City and moves the club back to fifth on the table.
