Sunday winners in the Peter Jackson VFL Round 13 were Sandringham, Williamstown and Casey Scorpions.
Casey at times looked like they were going to run away from Richmond in the Channel 7 TV especially, especially after opening the match with a three goal unanswered start. But the Tigers kept within scoring distance all afternoon, however were unable to capitalise on their four-point lead in the second and final terms.
Williamstown remain in second spot after overcoming an early challenge from North Ballarat. The Seagulls averted a second straight home ground defeat with a strong second half, but were unable to improve their accuracy having kicked 29.53 in the last three home games.
In the final game, Sandringham won its fifth game in a row and retained a top three spot with a win over Frankston.
