Tatura went close to pulling off an upset win over Seymour at Kings Park while Shepparton United did enough to get past Mansfield.
Historically the Demons don’t have the best of records at Tatura Park, winning over there for the first time in a long time during 2015.
This season, the Bulldogs have proven to be a tough team to play against, with Linc Wellington having his troops on task.
Wellington, himself has been leading by example while ruckman Paul Kirby continues to play well each week.
Tom Miller, Leigh Owen, James Wall, Billy Lovel and Rian McGough have been others to play consistently for the Bulldogs.
The Demons are back in contention for the top six after some recent victories and Daniel Bowles and Shane Sali have been two of the new faces into the squad to deliver.
The club’s youngsters are holding their own while the usual suspects like Ryan Butler, Tim Looby, Shane Neaves, Shaun Huy and Brodie Filo keeping playing well to guide them.
