Sunday was a wash-out but Saturday’s results more than compensated in PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues in Round 14.

Brisbane Strikers FC -  3 (Jake MCLEAN 44’, Fraser HILLS 57’, Trent CLULOW 65’)
Gold Coast City FC - 2 (Benjamin LYVIDKOS 10’, Nikola MIRKOVIC 48’)

A second-half wonder strike from Trent Clulow saw Brisbane Strikers defeat Gold Coast City 3-2 in an edge-of-the-seat roller coaster at Perry Park.

City took the lead early in each half of the see-sawing contest, however ultimately couldn’t hold their advantage against a Strikers side now undefeated in ten of its past eleven league outings.

The result means Strikers maintain the pressure on league leaders FNQ Heat in the title race and sees the club now in outright second on the table.

The defeat is just City’s third of the campaign and sees them drop to sixth place in the standings behind Moreton Bay United.

Moreton Bay United FC – 6 (Jonathan MARRAIYA 11’, Royce BROWNLIE 13’ 39’ 90’, Jordan FARINA 19’, Jackson HALL 84’)
Redlands United FC – 2 (Michael MCGOWAN 43’, Michael LEE 58’)

Royce Brownlie netted his first hat-trick of 2016 as Moreton Bay United stunned Premiership hopefuls Redlands United 6-2 at Wolter Park.

The Jets cast aside recent form woes to run riot against the high-flying Red Devils – storming to a three goal advantage inside the opening twenty minutes via Brownlie, Jonathan Marraiya and Jordan Farina.

The win sees Jets become the first side to record a league double over Redlands this season and lifts the Jets into fifth place and only two points outside the top four.

For Redlands their second straight defeat sees them clinging to third place on goal difference.

Northern Fury FC – 3 (Michael EISENHUT 5’ Matthew RICHARDS 19’ Hamish CASSADY 28’)
Sunshine Coast FC – 3 (Paul MIKULA 1’ 70’ Jeremy STEWART 84’)

Match Report - http://bit.ly/1UoLihT

Two second half goals from Sunshine Coast FC has denied Northern Fury their first win of the season as the side’s played out a thrilling 3-3 draw at Townsville Sports Reserve.

Fire started brightly when Paul Mikula opened accounts inside the opening minute before a stunning Fury fightback gave the hosts a two goal half-time advantage.

However, Fury succumbed to a revived Fire in the second stanza as Mikula's second reduced the deficit before Jeremy Stewart snatched the visitors a share of the points in the final minutes of the contest.

The draw marks the first competition point of the 2016 for the bottom of the table Fury as well as ending their club record thirteen match losing streak.

FNQ FC Heat – 3 (Kieran SANDERS 10’,  Shimon WATANABE 41’, Jamie GOSLING 83’)
Western Pride FC – 2 (Corey LUCAS 17’p 62’p)

Match Report - http://bit.ly/1tvg7bE

A late screamer from Jamie Gosling has spared FNQ Heat’s blushes as the league-leaders saw off a plucky Western Pride 3-2 in a hard-fought clash at Barlow Park.

Heat twice let the lead slip as Corey Lucas struck a brace from the penalty spot for the visitors, before three red cards concluded the contest – Heat’s Kieran Sanders and Pride duo Alistair Wallis and Will McFarlane all dismissed for second bookable offences.

The victory sees Heat retain their four point advantage atop the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues table ahead of Brisbane Strikers, who still hold a game in hand in the Premiership race.
