Olympic FC Women remain clear third in the standings after comfortably accounting for Redlands United Women 11-0 at Cleveland Showgrounds on Friday night.
After an opening stanza that saw Redlands defuse a number of chances for the visitors, Olympic ultimately proved too clinical across the park.
Olympic’s golden boot leading striker Kirsten Jamieson sunk an even half dozen and forced a penalty in a fantastic solo performance, with Allira Toby also adding a first half brace before being substituted at the half.
The win sees Olympic move to just a single point behind Souths United in the finals race, while Redlands’ eighth straight defeat keeps them mired to the bottom of the table.

What They Said
“It’s good that we now have an out-and-out striker. Someone who is scoring as many goals as what Kirsten does certainly adds a potency to our attack. This group of girls have been with each other for a few years now, they know each other really well and it’s coming together now.” – Phil Canham – Olympic FC Women coach
“We started off really well, our passing was good and we defended well, but the long balls got to us and we weren’t fast enough (to shut them down). (Olympic FC) kept playing the long ball over the top of us and (Jamieson) just did us for speed really.” – Jordan Wlodarczak – Redlands United FC Women player
