Women's Round 5 Rising Star Meg Haynes (Sydney University Bombers)

AFL Sydney are pleased to announce the Round 5 Women's Rising Star is Meg Haynes of the Sydney University Bombers.

Meg Haynes played her junior football in Canberra for Ainslie in the youth girls competition, and was award the Best & Fairest award on two occasions.

Since joining the Sydney University Bombers at the beginning of 2016, Meg has trained with enthusiasm and dedication, and has impressed with her skills, fair play and smart footy.

Playing at half forward and in the midfield in round 5 against Mac Uni, Meg’s speed and silky skills were on display; Meg used her long kick to great effect kicking three goals and setting up several more to help the Bombers to a good win.

Meg is undoubtedly a player to watch in 2016. Congratulations Meg!
