Dear Hampden Football Netball League,
Thank you for your support of our HFNL “Freeze MND” round of football, on Saturday 11th June 2016.
Our event was held to coincide with The Big Freeze 2, at the MCG on Queens Birthday. This raised a massive $2.8 million, with the federal government committing an additional $2.8 million. As a result, the foundation has raised a total of $5.6 million. Every single dollar of this money will go directly into funding MND research.
MND Fast Facts – It strikes random and takes swiftly.
Motor Neurone Disease attacks the nerve cells that control muscle movement. MND robs you of your ability to walk, talk and eventually breathe. While the mind stays unaffected, essentially leaving you trapped in your own body. Every 12 hours one Australian dies from MND. The average life expectancy is just 27 months. There is no treatment and no cure.
I am very fortunate to be able to work personally with Neale Daniher, my aim is to raise the profile and awareness of MND, here in our local area.
I am thrilled to announce that together we have raised a total of $4962.30 from our “Freeze MND” fundraiser. These funds will also go towards vital research into helping us find a cure for MND.
On behalf of Neale, myself and the Cure for MND Foundation, I thank you for your kind generosity in supporting this event. Together we can make a difference in the fight against Motor Neurone Disease.
Kind Regards
Sarah Dunn

The Cure For MND Foundation is a not-for-profit association that raises awareness for Motor Neurone Disease / Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (MND/ALS), and raises money to fund vital research into a cure. We do this in the hopes of living in a world one day free from MND
