NEWS: Kit supplier Macron to sponsor Country Champs rep teams
MACRON Australia has been confirmed as the official kit supplier/sponsor for the Geelong representative teams at the upcoming Victorian Country Championships, to be held over the Queen’s Birthday long weekend in Bendigo.
The Geelong Region Football Committee (GRFC), along with GOFC who are managing the Geelong representative teams on behalf of the GRFC, are pleased to announce that Macron (Australia) will be supplying the playing kits and apparel for all the teams competing in the Bendigo championships.
According to GOFC Director and Head Coach Pete Bradley, Giacomo Carulli (the National Business Development Manager) and his Melbourne based team have provided the three Boys select squads with an awesome deal.
“Macron has ensured the Geelong Region teams in the Boys U12s, U14s and U16s selections will look fantastic both on and off the field. We thank them for their support and look forward to a great weekend in June.”
The Chairperson of the GRFC, Jo Plummer, was equally excited with the sponsorship deal that GOFC had managed to arrange with Macron.
“On behalf of the Geelong Region, we are thrilled and very grateful to Macron Australia who have provided our Geelong Regional Junior Championship teams with full kits including a boot/gym bag a great jacket to keep our little champion footballers dry and looking professional.
“This was an unexpected gesture from Macron and one which show cases the generosity and support of community sport through business. Thank you Macron!” concluded Plummer.
The Geelong region will be represented at the Country Championships with three teams at Boys’ U12, U14 and U16 level. It will be the first time in four years that Geelong has sent a Boy’s representative team to the tournament.
Although trials were held for Girls’ representative teams in the same age categories, due to the lack of numbers no Girls’ teams were selected.
