The grand final replay promises to be one of the games of the season. There is no doubt there will be some added spice to the contest with Benalla premiership hero Lachie Smith wearing a Kyabram jumper this year.
Both teams are slightly different from that last day of the 2015 season.
Justin Sherman has been replaced by favourite son and 2013 premiership winning skipper Paul Newman while the Saints have lost some star power – most notably Smith and Josh Mellington.
Morrision Medallist Will Martiniello is unlikely to be back from the finger injury he sustained a fortnight ago and coach Luke Morgan will be hoping to have Farran Priest back in the team to complement a forward line of Nick Warnock, Brody Webster and Al Jacka.
Kyabram has star power on every line and they have two of the best three players in the competition in Jason Morgan and Smith.
If the Bombers can win the midfield battle then that will go a long way to feeding the likes of Kayne Pettifer, Hayden Gemmill and Newman.
The Saints are still a very good team, but I think the Bombers appear to me the more likely if the game is tight to pick up the win.
