Gold Coast City Women twice fought back from a goal down to snag a share of the points 2-2 against University of Queensland FC Women at Duncan McKenna Field.

Debutant Karen Buhl struck a brace for UQFC but ultimately the visitors proved unable to hold their advantage – City securing a point when Chelsea Teveluwe converted her fourth goal of the season from the penalty spot in the closing stages.

In the first half Neesa Doyle drew the hosts level after Buhl opened accounts with her maiden PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues Women's goal.

The result continues a six match undefeated run for City, but drop one position to sixth on the table behind SWQ Thunder, who won in the final match of the round.

UQFC remain in seventh as they continue to build momentum following a sluggish start to the season – the draw adding to last week’s confidence building win over Redlands United.

36’ – CHANCE FOR CITY – Elliston wins possession with a smart tackle before crossing for Foreman, who controls at close range before being closed down by Harbot

50’ – CHANCE FOR UQFC – Grace Vogler finds space and surges past her defender before pulling the trigger but is foiled by a solid save from McDonald

57’ – GOAL FOR UQFC – Buhl is left unmarked from a corner and is found with a pin-point delivery before volleying hom

68’ – CHANCE FOR CITY – Teveluwe is released into the space but despite plenty of mustard on the shot its directed straight at Harbot

85’ – GOAL FOR CITY – considered midfield build-up releases Teveluwe, who is fouled by Harbot resulting a penalty which Teveluwe calmly converts to seal a point for her side
