Doubles to Jayden Prasad and Nicholas D’Agostino have seen Brisbane Roar Youth storm to an emphatic 6-0 win over Northern Fury at Cleveland Showgrounds – the Townsville club’s worst ever league defeat.

Young Roar were rarely troubled defensively as they stifled the bottom-of-the-table Fury throughout the contest to notch their second consecutive clean sheet at home this season.

The hosts stormed to an early two goal lead as Prasad’s opener was complemented by Joseph Champness – his second goal in as many weeks.

They then ran away with the contest in the second stanza as Prasad and Jesse Daley both struck before the hour, before D’Agostino took his season’s tally to six goals with a late brace after earlier twice finding the woodwork.

The result is Fury’s largest losing margin in 78 matches in the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues and furthers their club record run of defeats to eight matches.

69’ - CHANCE FOR FURY - Corey Waples splits two Roar defenders and finds Hamish Cassidy who breaks into the area but can’t find the target with the shot

74’ - GOAL FOR ROAR - An exquisite cross from Ingham lands on the head of D’Agostino whose powerful header finds the top corner from inside the six-yard box.

80’ - CHANCE FOR ROAR - D’Agostino’s low cross finds Ingham in the centre of the area but the substitute has to stretch behind him to reach the ball and his shot goes narrowly wide

82’ - CHANCE FOR ROAR - D’Agostino slips in behind at the back post and latches onto a cross from Ingham but the balls bobbles as the striker prepares to shoot and goes wide of the target
