NOTICE: Trial Registrations for Junior Rep squads close at 5pm on Friday
IN ORDER for the Geelong Regional Football Commitee (GRFC) Representative team coaches to gauge the level of interest for the Selection Trials and to make them run as smooth as possible, the coaching team would like to announce to all interested parties that Trial Registrations for the Junior Boys’ and Girls’ representative squads will close at 5pm this coming Friday, the 15th of April.
According to GOFC Coaching Directors Pete Bradley and Mike Chapman, who are both responsible for overseeing the entire selection process, this will give the respective Squad coaches time to notify parents as well as plan numbers for upcoming trial sessions.
“Registration numbers for the boys U12 and U14's have been promising but we still need a few more for the U16 boys squad," said Bradley.
"Numbers for the girls are disappointing at the moment with only seven U12's, two U14's and one U16 girl registered. If this remains the case, come Friday evening, we will have to cancel the Girls' squads, which would be a great shame.” Bradley said.
The Victorian Country Championships will be held in Bendigo over the Queen’s Birthday long weekend in June.
