The reigning premier will unfurl its spoils of victory from 2015 in front what should be a strong crowd.
The Luke Morgan led Saints will be a slightly different team, with a number of key departures from the squad that claimed the title against Kyabram.
The most notable of the losses for the Saints are key swingman Lachie Smith and century goalkicker Josh Mellington.
They have also lost others from the premiership team along with a handful of others who have played plenty of senior football for the club.
Despite that, expect the Saints to be a formidable outfit, with the likes of Josh Marchbank, the Martiniello brothers, the Martyn boys, Al Jacka, Farren Priest, Nick Warnock and Morgan to still ensure the team wins more than they lose.
Rochester was the best performing team during the home and away only to have a rather disappointing finals campaign.
Another year under James Flaherty and the recruitment of some former juniors topped with very few departures should make the Tigers a tough team to beat on a weekly basis.
Steven Stroobants, Nathan Marrone and Ashley Watson were three of the club’s star players last year and they will be once again the key players for the men from Moon Oval.
Both teams have enjoyed solid pre-seasons and this is likely to be a game won by the team that can dominate through the midfield to provide enough supply to their forwards.
