Sisters Melanie Lloyd and Abbey Lloyd both netted hat-tricks as SWQ Thunder Women stormed to a 6-0 win over Redlands United Women at USQ Toara Park.
Melanie Lloyd was the first of the duo to reach the personal milestone after netting thrice in the opening stanza.
Abbey Lloyd then converted the sole goal of the second half to match her sister’s haul and lift her season’s tally to an impressive six goals.
The results marks the second straight home win for Thunder following last week's 5-1 result over Peninsula Power.
It also consigns Redlands to a third straight defeat in their maiden PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues Women's campaign.

What They Said
“The girls played pretty well. Redlands is always a tough team, so we were a bit nervous heading into the game. We’ve been working really hard at training, and as a result I think we played really well. We passed the ball around a lot, and are getting used to playing together.” – Jordan Franke, SWQ Thunder FC Women
“I feel we played better in the second half compared to the first. It was a tough match. Fairly hot out there today. We’re a developing squad where SWQ Thunder have been playing together for a couple of years now. They held their own, and have some great players. We need to work on our defence and moving the ball better around our team.” – Whitney Howson, Redlands United FC Women
