GALAXY United FC, the Geelong region and Victoria’s only regional WNPL club, wishes to invite all interested girls born between 2004 – 2007 to trial for a place in their fully accredited FFA WNPL SAP program which will commence during the week of April 11^th 2016.

The SAP is a concentrated skill acquisition program that aims to develop the individual players’ four core skills of:

• First Touch
• 1 v 1 attacking/defending
• Running with the ball
• Striking the ball

Under the guidance of qualified SAP instructors, players will receive two sessions per week over 18 weeks that are well planned and geared towards to improving technique in the above mentioned four core skills. All sessions are highly challenging and fun based. Also players in the program will receive a training kit and the opportunity to participate in three weekend FFV SAP Gala Days to be be played against other accredited SAP programs from around the state.

Galaxy United FC are fully motivated and experienced in developing talented female players from our region and in conjunction with their community club, ensure that talented players within our region have a meaningful future pathway to representative football through the WNPL/FFV Talented Player and state programs /W -League and our national teams.

How it works:

Successful players, who are offered places after trials in our program, will still need to be registered and will play with their community clubs in their hubs. GUFC will hold two compulsory sessions per week (Mon & Wed) over three 6 week cycles (36 sessions in total) and the player will then be expected to train once per week with their community club and play with them on weekends.

The program cost for successful players will be $360 for 36 sessions ($10 per session), opportunity for three FFV accredited Gala Days, a training kit and all coaching.
