NEWS: Seven teams set to participate in GRFC's inaugural Men’s Over 35s comp
WITH just days left before the deadline for submitting team entries for this year’s Geelong Region Football Committee (GRFC) leagues, a total of seven clubs have expressed interest in entering teams in the inaugural Men’s Masters’ (Over 35s) competition in 2016.
As per the draft structures which were submitted to Football Federation Victoria’s Competitions’ Department earlier in the year, the seven clubs that are interested in entering into the Geelong Masters division in 2016 include:
- Barwon Heads SC
- Barwon SC
- Corio Bay SC
- Drysdale SC
- Elcho Park Cardinals FC
- Lara United FC
- Surf Coast FC
All clubs have until this Friday (4th March) to submit their team entries for the various GRFC competitions.
This year will also see the re-introduction of a Women’s Second Division competition, as well as the introduction of a two divisional format for all Junior Boys’ competitions, including the U12, U13, U15 and U17 league competitions.
Draft fixtures will be released on Tuesday 15th March, with the deadline for clubs to request changes to the draft fixture set down for Friday 18th March.
The final fixtures for all GRFC competitions will be made public on Wednesday 23rd March with the season kicking off on Friday 8th April.
