City Warm-Up With Final Friendly Win
BRISBANE | Brisbane City netted a goal in each half to see off Redlands United 2-1 at Corporate Travel Management Stadium on Thursday night.
Antonio Murray opened accounts for City early in an attacking first half that saw chances for both sides.
Graham Fyfe levelled terms immediately prior to half time from a free-kick near the touchline – his delivery into the box evading a host of attackers and defenders before rolling into the far bottom corner.
City’s persistence through a more cagey second half earned reward with a quarter hour remaining when Joshua Cronk struck the winner from close range amidst a goal mouth scramble.
The match is City’s final pre-season match before their PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues season opener against Moreton Bay United on Saturday week.
Redlands will conclude their pre-season against Gold Coast club Magic United on Saturday.
Brisbane City FC 2 (Antonio MURRAY 14’, Joshua CRONK 76’)
