The Sydney Swans and AFL NSW/ACT will host a seminar for Community AFL Coaches during the 2016 Australia Post Community Camp.
Local Community AFL Coaches are invited to attend the seminar at the Sydney Swans Head Office on Monday February 8.
Coaching sessions will run concurrently from 6.30pm to 7.45pm and will be divided into the following:
Auskick Coaches – A practical based session
Emphasis on: basic & fun skills & games used for training.
Level 1 Junior Coaches – A practical based session
Emphasis on: fun, participation, respect & inclusiveness, skill development, participation v results.
Level 1 Youth Coaches – A practical based session
Emphasis on: ‘Game-sense’ based activities and games to develop decision making under pressure.
Senior, Level 2 Coaches & Coach Coordinator – A theory based session.
Emphasis on: strong club culture, player resilience, mental preparation, accountability, clear game plans/strategies and the ability to adapt/evolve during match.
Featuring: Sydney Swans Coaching Staff
When: Monday, February 8 2016
Where: Sydney Swans Head Office, Driver Ave, Moore Park.
Time: 6pm to approx 8.15pm (an optional tour of Swans facility will conclude the night for those interested)
Light food & refreshment will be provided upon arrival & registration
